We are Family Promise of Ontario County

Transforming the lives of families experiencing homelessness

because every child deserves a home.

Family Promise Giving Day is a 24-hour online campaign to raise awareness and funds to support families across America experiencing homelessness or at-risk of losing their housing.

In addition to providing emergency shelter, Family Promise focuses on preventing families from becoming homeless in the first place.

Today is National Family Promise Day

Family Promise is more than shelter—we are a continuum of support providing prevention and diversion funding to keep families from becoming homeless in the first place.

We responded to the pandemic right away, offering emergency housing in apartments in Canandaigua.  Our families receive case management, transportation and education classes to get their finances, health and housing in order.

Our goal is to help families overcome the obstacles in their life so they can achieve economic stability and their children can access a brighter future.

In the 2018-2019 school year, 347 school age children were identified as homeless in Ontario County. ..

Let's keep that number from reaching 348. You can help.
