Our mission is to help families experiencing homelessness and low-income families achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response.

The Problem

On any given night in 2024, the Department of Social Services provided shelter for 190 homeless individuals, including 23 families. That’s over three times the number of families we housed nightly in 2020. You may not see them, but they are there—staying in hotels and motels across the county. As it stands today, there are zero homeless shelters in Ontario County for families with children.
