Barbara Weinberg brings a 37-year career in nursing to her role at Family Promise of Ontario County. As a Registered Nurse, she specialized in critical care, serving in various roles, including Nursing Supervisor, ICU Manager for over 13 years, HR Nurse Recruiter, and Pre-Surgical Testing RN.

Barbara has been involved with Family Promise since its inception in Ontario County in 2017, dedicating her time to developing the program at the Presbyterian Church in Geneva, where she served as the volunteer coordinator. She also contributed to the PR/Marketing and Fund Development committees. In 2023, she joined the Board of Directors, where she continues to support efforts to prevent homelessness and assist families in crisis. She believes that stable housing is essential to a healthy childhood.

Beyond her work with Family Promise, Barbara is the Board Chair for Success for Geneva’s Children and a member of the Geneva 2030 Birth to Kindergarten Action Team. She also volunteers with Geneva Reads and the Geneva Boys & Girls Club’s First One Thousand Days Promise program.

Barbara treasures time with her family, including her 10 grandchildren (soon to be 11), and enjoys traveling with her husband, Bob.
