Program Committee Member
Bill is a retired behavioral health professional with 45 years of experience in the field. He was a social worker, direct care therapist, clinical supervisor, and administrative executive. His areas of expertise include mental health direct care as a therapist and clinical supervisor; director of a specialized adolescent foster care program overseeing two care teams that provided comprehensive care to families, both biological and foster; and substance use disorder care via direct service and oversight and clinical supervision to teams of clinicians and their direct supervisors.
Bill became involved in Family Promise of Ontario County through his church and subsequently joined the initial board in 2016. He was chair of that board's day center committee, leading the team through the process of getting the day center approved at the old manse of St John's Episcopal Church in Canandaigua. Bill left the board when he moved to Wisconsin in November 2018.
Bill rejoined the Family Promise board in February 2024 after returning to New York. He is a member of the Program Committee.
Bill has a master's degree in mental health counseling and is a New York State Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), Emeritus.
Bill is also a member of the board of Family Counseling Service of the Finger Lakes. When he is not serving these two boards he enjoys traveling with his wife of 47 years, Paula. Additionally, Bill is an avid cyclist and a proud and happy granddad of his granddaughter Irene, with whom
he and Paula spend as much time as they can get.
