Michelle L. Pedzich
Executive Vice President, Chief Risk and Human Resources Officer

Michelle Pedzich is Executive Vice President, Chief Risk and Human Resources Officer for
Canandaigua National Bank and Trust. Michelle is responsible for oversight of the Human
Resources team, as well as oversight of the Audit, Corporate Risk, Credit Risk, Information
Security, and Compliance teams. In addition to her years of leadership experience leading
human resources, she has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, including
serving as the Compliance Officer for an Investment Advisory firm. Michelle is also a member of
the bank’s Executive Team.
Michelle holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from SUNY Geneseo and a master’s degree in
human resources development from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Past community
experience includes serving as a member of the Canandaigua City School District Board of
Education, serving as the Chair of the Ontario County Chamber of Commerce and serving as the
Co-Chair of the New York Banking Association’s HR Committee.
Michelle currently serves as a member of the Leadership Ontario Steering Committee and as a
member of the United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes’ Women United
Committee. Michelle is also a Leadership Rochester alum, a 2020 recipient of the Rochester
Business Journal’s Women of Excellence Award, a 2008 recipient of the Rochester 40 under 40
award, a 2021 National Human Resource Association’s HR Executive of the Year nominee and
was the recipient of the Ontario County Athena Award in 2022.
Michelle lives in Canandaigua, NY with her husband Keith.
