Need Shelter?

Family Promise of Ontario County provides short-term emergency shelter for families experiencing homelessness in Ontario County. Our shelter program offers apartment-style shelter and case management support to help families regain stability and secure permanent housing.

We Provide:

  • Safe, temporary housing – families stay in fully furnished apartments while working toward long-term housing solutions.

  • Personalized case management – a dedicated case manager helps families create a plan for stable, affordable housing and financial independence.

  • Weekly check-ins – families meet regularly with their case manager to assess progress, access resources, and adjust their plan as needed.

The need for emergency shelter in Ontario County far exceeds available resources. We do our best to assist as many families as possible. We will connect families with other community resources if we cannot provide direct assistance.

Mother and Two Kids

Love is so strong...

the relief in the face of a mother who has just been told she can stay with us, leaving behind the night she just spent outdoors. Or the mother who was just evicted because her family couldn’t afford their apartment, and their only option is to stay in their car. Love is the hug you give to a woman who has been abused since childhood; love is the sitting next to a guest in a court room giving moral support during a custody hearing.

What makes the work we do at Family Promise of Ontario County so meaningful is our ability to take our guests where they are, and help them overcome the hurdles that keep them from getting to where they want to be.

We need your support

Supporting the Emergency Shelter Program gives families in crisis a hand up, providing safe shelter and a path to stability.
