Family Promise of Ontario County understands that eviction can be a devastating experience for families. Our Eviction Prevention Program offers one-time rental assistance to families in Ontario County with at least one child under 18 who have received an eviction notice.

We Provide:

  • Rental assistance – one-time financial support for past-due rent to help families avoid eviction.

  • Landlord mediation – assistance in communicating with landlords to explore solutions and prevent displacement.

  • Case management & community support – guidance on financial planning, referrals to additional resources, and follow-up support.

Eligibility Requirements:

To qualify, families must:

  • have at least one child under 18 in the household

  • live in Ontario County

  • have received an eviction notice

  • show proof of ability to maintain rent moving forward

Next Steps:

If you need rental assistance click the apply button below, or contact us with any questions:

The need for eviction prevention support in Ontario County far exceeds available resources. While we do our best to assist as many families as possible, funding is limited. We will connect families with other community resources if we cannot provide direct assistance.

Mother and Son

"The experience was absolutely amazing! The weight you did lift was so much greater than it is now! I would be buried by now if I didn't find you in time to catch me up."
