Mark your calendars, grab your teammates, and start decorating your beds. The annual Amazing Bed Race for Family Promise of Ontario County is back and bigger than ever!
What is the Bed Race?
It’s exactly what it sounds like, a race featuring teams pushing decorated beds on wheels down the race track, all in the name of fun and fundraising. This quirky, community favorite event combines creativity, teamwork, and heart, supporting the vital mission of Family Promise of Ontario County.

The scale and complexity of family homelessness in Ontario County continues to grow at a rapid rate, having risen 300% since 2020. Highlights from Past Events
Last year’s race saw teams decked out in costumes from pirates to brides, raising over $28,997.00 for local families in need. The creativity, community spirit, and pure joy on display are what make this event such a memorable one and this year promises to be even better.

This was a pretty easy read, which I appreciate—no overthinking, just the point laid out in a way that actually sticks. The examples felt like stuff you’d run into in real life, and it helped that it explained the reasoning instead of tossing out random tips. Halfway through I ended up clicking around newimage.io because it gave me the same “quick but useful” vibe when you want to check something without going down a rabbit hole. Nothing felt padded or like it was written for robots, more like someone who’s tried it and is just sharing what worked.
